Privacy Policy
Plain English about what we collect, what we do with it, and what we don't.
The short version
We don't sell your information, we don't run ads, and we don't track you across other sites. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us through the contact form. We use Google Analytics to count anonymous visits and Google reCAPTCHA to keep spam out of the contact form. That's it.
What we collect
Contact form submissions. When you write to us via /contact, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide. We use these only to read your note and reply.
Standard server logs. Our servers automatically record technical information about each request — IP address, browser type, the page you requested, and the time of the request. We use these for operations and troubleshooting and keep them only briefly.
Google Analytics (when enabled). We use Google Analytics to count visits and understand which games people read about. Google may set cookies for this purpose. You can opt out via browser settings or Google's opt-out tools.
Google reCAPTCHA (when enabled). We use reCAPTCHA on the contact form to detect automated submissions. Google's reCAPTCHA collects information from your browser to make that determination. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
How we use it
- Reply to messages you send us.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the site.
- Detect and prevent spam and abuse.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your information.
- We don't run targeted advertising on the site.
- We don't share contact form messages with third parties.
- We don't track you across other websites for marketing.
Cookies
We don't set first-party tracking cookies. Third-party cookies may be set by Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA when those features are active. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; the site will continue to work for ordinary browsing.
Children's privacy
The site is family-friendly in content. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through the contact form, please reach out and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws like GDPR (EU/UK), the UK Data Protection Act, or CCPA (California). You can ask what personal data we hold about you, request its deletion, or ask us to correct anything inaccurate. Send a note via /contact and we will respond promptly.
Data retention
Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to respond, then archived or deleted within a reasonable period. Server logs are short-term operational data. Analytics data is retained per Google's defaults; we don't maintain identifiable copies.
Third-party services
We rely on these services to operate the site:
- Google Analytics — anonymous visit measurement (when enabled).
- Google reCAPTCHA — spam prevention on the contact form (when enabled).
- Email provider (SMTP) — to deliver contact form submissions to us.
- DigitalOcean — server hosting.
Each has its own privacy policy.
Changes
If we update this policy, the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change. Material changes will be highlighted.
